i very intentionally mimicked the hark! a vagrant style, though in the other comics at that link, you can tell i'm out of practice... i've never been good at keeping the characters on model from panel to panel. guess i should work on that?

used a charcoal pencil, scanned it in, then cleaned it up and added watercolour brush for shading. i don't think that's how kate beaton does it hahaha.
